What is The Wild Stage about?

We are researching the need for humanity to escape. 

How do we connect with ourselves and others and why do we feel the need to break free, vs destruct, transcend vs transgression, revolting against the system / self / others?

Shift of authority from the system to the self. (cfr. selffulfilling idea of self-care)

Circular motion of introspection - death and rebirth.

How do we present ourselves?

The primal to analog vs. digital space.

Presenting ourselves in the collective. How do we position ourselves in the energetic field?

Presenting ourselves to the other.

Presenting ourselves as post-human.

Where does Mahagonny come in?

A place where everything is possible and the fundamental problems that arise when everything is possible. We can link this to our digital space and the constant pressure of representation. The idea of constant happiness to extremis (spiritualism, selfcare routines).

Revolting against that systematic oppression of the self, even by ourselves. 

The same factors in Mahagonny are present nowadays - we shifted the authority of ”being a good human being to ourselves” but we are completely lost in a capitalistic system - we became the personalisation of the capitalistic system. The regulator! We are actively taking part in this system that we are revolting against!
